What is Fredericia Container Terminal?

Fredericia Container Terminal is a joint venture between Fredericia Shipping, APM Terminals and ADP. The company was established in late 2025 to drive future growth and strengthen the region’s logistics position.
A joint ownership model

The ownership structure reflects a balanced partnership designed to support long-term growth and operational stability. At Fredericia Shipping, we hold the majority stake and lead daily terminal operations, supported by APM Terminals and ADP through international expertise, network reach, and strategic infrastructure capabilities.
Infrastructure designed for future growth
With the recent expansion of the container terminal in Fredericia, completed in October 2025, Fredericia Container Terminal is well positioned to support future growth.
The terminal now comprises 200,000 m² of operational area — including 150,000 m² with 485 metres of deep-water quay in Fredericia and an additional 50,000 m² at the rail-connected terminal in Taulov. Together, these facilities provide the physical capacity and flexibility required to support growing container volumes and increasingly complex logistics flows with a capacity of up to 400,000 TEU in total.

operational performance at scale
As container volumes continue to grow, operational efficiency remains a key factor in maintaining reliable terminal performance.
In 2025, Fredericia Container Terminal reached a new milestone with 165,008 TEU handled over quay, reflecting both increased activity and stable daily operations.
The data below illustrates how gate operations and processing times are managed throughout the year, even during periods of high activity, covering weeks 36–52 of 2025 and the first three weeks of 2026.
